The Service Management Art ITSM Strategic visioning workshop

The ITSM Strategic Visioning Methodology is a conceptual tool for engaging an IT organization in combining its best hindsight and foresight in aligned action for IT Service Management. It complements the analytical approaches of traditional planning with a holistic integration of the intuitive, emotional, intellectual, and physical sensibilities of leaders and other stakeholders.

The models used to guide the workshop are intuitive graphical representations of a business plan. The approach is delivered via a facilitated workshop. The workshop teaches and encourages the team to complete graphic templates. The synergy promises real breakthroughs in the levels of involvement, buy-in, and productivity of strategy formation processes. The use of large graphic templates in an interactive, story-telling manner tends to tap the intuition of groups and strengthen bonds.

A strategic visioning workshop is a facilitated journey of learning with experienced and skilled consultants. The workshop process is structured to first capture the current situation and then take you through a voyage of discovery that will allow you to gain insight into your needs and opportunities. Based on the intended outcome desired, the workshop agendas are reviewed and customized prior to the workshop. While all topics are critical to a successful workshop, time spent on each topic may vary based on your needs.
