The ITIL® Intermediate Qualification - Managing Across the Lifecycle 5-day course presents the end-to-end view of Management and utilizes all the lifecycle and capabilities activities related to IT Service Management Business and Managerial Issues, Managing the Planning and Implementation of IT Service Management, Management of Strategic Change, Risk Management, Managerial Functions, Organizational Challenges, Project Assessment and Complementary Industry Guidance. This course is designed using an engaging case study-based approach to learning the core disciplines of the ITIL best practice and positions the student to successfully complete the associated exam.

Course Details

This course has mandatory 30 contact hours as well as a recommendation of completing 28 hours of self study prior to the start of the course.

Class size minimum is 6 students, Class size maximum is 18 students.

Two official sample exams will be provided during the course.

Learning Objectives

Candidates can expect to gain competencies in the following upon successful completion of the education and examination components related to this certification:

In addition, the training for this certification should include examination preparation, including a mock examination opportunity.

Prerequisites

Candidates wishing to be trained and examined for this qualification must already hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (2 credits from the V3 Foundation or V2 Foundation plus Bridge Certificate) and have obtained a further 15 credits (a total of at least 17 credits) as a minimum from a balanced selection of ITIL Service Lifecycle or Service Capability qualifications. Documentary evidence of this must be presented to gain admission to this certification level.

Supporting Materials

Students receive a copy of the classroom presentation material, practice exams, homework and assignments.

It is assumed that the candidate will have access to the ITIL Service Management Practices core lifecycle publication:
